Trustees of the Rakiura Maori Land TrustThe Rakiura Maori Lands Trust is governed by 6 Trustees appointed by the Maori Land court upon recommendation from the beneficial owners. Trustees are appointed for a term of three years and must then make themselves available for further consideration if they wish to have a further term. Elections are held each year at the AGM of the Trust to identify the recommendations that will be made to the Maori Land Court for formal appointment. Focus / Development Groups In 2007 the Trustees are starting a new initiative to broaden the depth of participation within the Trust activities by setting up focus and development groups to assist with input for planning and development activities.
